Sochi, Krasnodar and Anapa were in the top 10 popular cities among Russian tourists
- Average prices in all directions increased by 3% (from 15 193 to 15 599 rubles for a round-trip ticket). The average bill in Russia for the year has not changed significantly (+ 3% from 13,356 rubles to 13,722 rubles), the authors of the study noted.
Passengers' preferences regarding the most popular destinations within the country are stable. For the fourth year in a row, flights from Moscow to Simferopol and Sochi are in the top.
- The most popular Russian air route in 2019 (according to October 10) was Moscow - Simferopol. It accounts for 7% of all tickets sold in the country. In second place are flights between the capital and Sochi, in third are trips from Moscow to St. Petersburg, analysts said.
Of the top 10 routes, flights from St. Petersburg and Moscow to Simferopol (-6% and -5%) fell in price the most. It has become more expensive to fly from Moscow to Rostov-on-Don (+ 19%), Yekaterinburg (+ 15%), the Ministry of Water (+ 10%), Krasnodar (+ 10%).
The Krasnodar Territory, Crimea, the Leningrad and Moscow Regions, and the Republic of Karelia are among the top five in the popularity of tourism and leisure in the velvet season.
In the Krasnodar Territory, tourists booked accommodation on average from 1 to 15 nights and spent from 1 thousand to 13.8 thousand rubles per day for rental housing.
