Boxing World Junior Championships: medals of Polish athletes in Russia, Polish medals at the World Championships (sport.tvp.pl) MEJ in boxing: five Polish medals in Anapa

Four Polish boxers: Zofia Stachowiak (70 kg), Daria Parada (75 kg), Martyna Jancelewicz (80 kg) and Oliwia Toborek (+80 kg) were promoted to the Tuesday finals of the European Junior Championships (up to 16 years old) in Anapa, Russia. Karolina Ampulska (52 kg) won the bronze medal.

In Monday semi-final matches Stachowiak (KSW Gostyń) won with Italian Melissa Gemini 3: 2, Parada (Skorpion Szczecin) defeated the Turkish Duygu Ozturk 5: 0, Jancelewicz (Taurus Goleniów) won the Russian Maria Proskunowa 3: 2, and Toborek Boksu Boksu Warsaw) proved to be better than Irish Kori Goad 4: 1.


Ampulska (Wda Świecie) lost to Englishwoman Maria Scott 0: 5.

Polish juniors also competed in Anapa, but none of them broke into the medal zone.
