Day of semi-finals in Anapa for the 2018 junior European boxing championships. At the penultimate act of the continental youth demonstration seven Italians showed up, and four of them took the pass for tomorrow's respective finals: Miriam Tommasone & nbsp; (66 kg), Lucia Elen Ayari (50 kg), Michele Baldassi (50 kg) and Yassin Hermi (70 kg).
Let's start with women: Miriam Tommasone defeated the Irish Gallen with a favorable verdict of four out of five judges, while the decision that led Lucia Elen Ayari to success on the German Rempel was unanimous. Their last act will see them confronted respectively with the Russian Luiza Orets and with the Montenegrin Bojana Gojkovic. On the other hand, defeats came from the other three comparisons, which however do not invalidate the podium chances as access to the semifinal had already given the Italians the certainty of the bronze medal. Erika Prisciandaro (46 kg) and Teresa Pia Oncia (48 kg) both lost by unanimous decision against the Englishman Brown and the Russian Linkova, while Melissa Gemini (70 kg), who was beaten by the Polish Stackhovyak, left the ring without getting angry.
On the male front, both committed Italian boxers have gained access to the final. In the 50 kg Baldassi defeated the English Hickford by unanimous verdict, while Hermi, in the 70 kg, was victoriously resolved the three rounds against the Lithuanian Trofimcuk. In the two finals, our representatives will find Georgian Luka Nikabadze and Russian Mikhail Usov respectively.
