A 5.1 magnitude quake shakes the island of Rhodes - Greece City Times
According to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), a strong earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale struck the island of Rhodes today, Thursday 3 October, at 07:44.
According to the EMSC, the focus depth of the earthquake was 16.8 km, with the epicenter 37 km southeast of Rhodes, a popular tourist destination in the Dodecanese. & Nbsp;
The city center of Rhodes and the surrounding areas suffered the most, and according to the authorities, seismic waves were felt in many parts of the south-eastern Aegean and in the areas of Turkey closest to the island of Rhodes.To date, no injuries or significant damage have been reported.
